Hill makes Hall of Fame

North Dakota boxing fans knew they were watching one of the all-time greats when Virgil Hill entered the ring. Now, Hill has the highest boxing honor to prove the North Dakota fans were correct. Hill is one of the 2013 inductees in the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

Virgil went 50-7 in his professional career and he won five world championships along the way. His first world title came in 1987 when he beat Leslie Stewart for the WBA light heavyweight championship.

Hill was very successful as a amateur as well, winning the silver medal at the 1984 Olympic games.
