North Dakota Smoke-Free Law Takes Effect Tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, December 6, North Dakota`s new smoke-free law will go into effect. According to the new law, smoking is prohibited in most public places and places of employment. Also, under the new law, smoking is not allowed within 20 feet of any entrance or exit, any window that can be opened, whether or not it is open at the time, and any air intake or ventilation system of an enclosed area that is required to be smoke-free.
The new law includes restaurants, bars, truck stops, health care facilities, long-term and assisted living centers, and licensed adult day care facilities, guest rooms and common areas within hotels and motels, and more.
