His New York-style bagels have been a hit since he began wholesaling in Bismarck about a year ago and now the owner of B.C. Bagels plans to open his own retail location. The store will be in the former Smoothie Operator Main Street location, where Eric Hawronsky also plans to offer bagel sandwiches and custom cream cheeses.

"I`ve always kind of had a dream of owning my own shop and doing some baking. After some trial and error, testing out some different bagels and all my friends and family telling me they were good, I decided to open my own bakery," he said.

He doesn`t have a firm start date yet, but hopes to open at the end of December or early January.

Sanford Health Occupational Medicine is building a new location on East Broadway Avenue in Bismarck. The hospital says the clinic has outgrown its current location and all staff will move to the new 17,000 square foot facility in April.

And two new pizza restaurants are firing up the grill in Bismarck. MacKenzie River Pizza Grill and Pub opened just in time for lunch, after several events leading to the opening day. Last week, they unveiled a bear sculpture made by fusion art sculptor John Lopez.

"I`ve done a lot of other scrap iron sculptures like this, there`s several in Lemmon, South Dakota. That`s my hometown," Lopez said.

Lopez also created the president sculptures lining the streets in Rapid City, South Dakota. The restaurant is on Skyline Crossing by the north Walmart.

There is another new pizza place that`s located in downtown Bismarck. You can learn more about Fireflour Pizza as Jim Christiansen takes us inside on Inside Business tomorrow during the Evening Report.
