Hundreds of people were at the Bismarck Civic Center Saturday for the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase. The three day event features 263 Pride of Dakota members. More than 60 percent of members live in rural communities. For many, this showcase is where they make their biggest earnings all year.

Organizers say the showcase is a good place to find one-of-a-kind holiday gift items, from food to home décor. It`s also a chance for other North Dakota businesses to learn more about Pride of Dakota and see if they`re interested in becoming a member.

"A lot of our members have done some form of digital training with us so they have websites, social media sites. So throughout the year we work with the Pride of Dakota members on different ways to grow their business and the showcase is one aspect of that," said Katie Pinke, marketing and information division director with the North Dakota Department of Agriculture

The showcase continues Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is two dollars for adults.
