Police Release Name of Man Who Died After Fleeing Hit and Run

Minot police have released the name of a man who died after crashing his vehicle while leaving the scene of a hit and run accident Wednesday. The man, identified as Richard Daniel Wilfong, 34, from Douglas, died when he missed a right turn in the roadway, drove off a steep hill and crashed into an embankment while being followed by police. Wilfong was being followed because police suspected him of leaving the scene of a hit and run accident.
