There are a lot of opportunities for Christmas shopping without turning to traditional big box stores. If, after Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, you`re still looking for that perfect gift, head over to the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase in Bismarck. The annual event kicks off at 4:00 on Friday at the Bismarck Civic Center. This year`s showcase will be the largest ever, with 263 vendors set up.

"I think it`s an opportunity to support North Dakota businesses. As our economy is growing we want to keep that going strong. A majority of our Pride of Dakota members are rural-based and its vital to our rural economy to keep these small businesses going. We can shop local and see the impact," said Katie Pinke with the North Dakota Department of Agriculture.

Admission is just two dollars and a new Pride of Dakota Passport program can give you a chance to win 250 Pride of Dakota dollars.

Harlow`s Bus Sales and Service welcomed more than 100 people to their open house, celebrating a new location and expansion. The company added six more work bays and a wash bay and completed a customer lounge and parts area. Harlows is family-run and moved to their new location on South 23rd Street about a year and a half ago.
