Highway Patrol Kicks off Enforcement | Video

Statistically, between now and the end of the year, law enforcement officers across the state expect about 18 more traffic fatalities. They say that those deaths are preventable, and they`re doing what they can to prevent them. For the next two months, the Highway Patrol will be holding high visibility enforcement events.

They say drivers can choose to drive safely and officers will be there watching.

On Wednesday, every one of the state`s 148 troopers will be out on the road as part of that effort.
