Hurdsfield Woman Killed in Crash | Video

A Hurdsfield woman was killed on Friday afternoon in a crash on the highway. The North Dakota Highway patrol says Kathy Woll was attempting to make a u-turn on Highway 3 about two miles south of town, when she was hit by an oncoming semi trailer.

The driver of the semi, Josh Denaeyer from Holyoke, Colorado, told troopers he pulled into the left lane to avoid Woll as she was turning around.

Denaeyer said Woll tried to make a left turn in front of him as she was trying to pull onto a gravel road.

She was hit on the drivers side of her van and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
