Locals React to Presidential Election | Video

Rene Thibault | 11/7/2012

President Barack Obama has been reelected to a second term, but in a mainly Republican state like North Dakota, how do local residents feel about that?

In only took a few hours of election coverage for Barack Obama to be named the 2012 Presidential victor. Some North Dakotans were upset with the outcome.

“My girlfriend, she ended up texting me this morning saying that Obama won and I`m a little disappointed, but hey, another four years, so I`m going to keep doing the best I can,” said Kevin Knudson, a Minot Resident.

Just last night voters filled the Mesa Arena casting their ballots, and while many North Dakotans didn`t agree on the outcome of the Presidential Race, many do feel that there is one area in which the country will need to improve.

“Jobs, up here in North Dakota there`s plenty of them, but in the rest of the country it`s like lets get that fixed. I just don`t want four more years of the same,” added resident Brett Harris.

Only time will tell if President Obama will address the concerns of Americans across the country.
