Largest Pipeline Project | Video

Sarahbeth Ackerman | 11/5/2012

The Sand Piper Project will start near the Beaver Lodge in Tioga and then run straight to Superior, Wisconsin. The length of the pipeline would be 600 miles in length, making this particular pipeline the largest in North Dakota.

"The project itself will bring much needed, additional work to eastern North Dakota as well as Western Minnesota and throughout Minnesota as well. I think that`s a great benefit. We`ve seen a huge influx of employment opportuntities in Western North Dakota," said Katie Haarsager, Enbridge Pipelines.

The pipeline just filed for their permit and they hope to hear back in early 2013. And they plan to start construction in late 2015 to early 2016.
