"I want to simplify the menu, look closer at some of the more authentic cuisines that are out there so over the next few months, over the winter, we`re going to begin looking at how we prepare our food, what we put on the menu, so by next spring and summer we`ll have something maybe a little bit new," he said.
Conlin recently retired after serving 30 years in the North Dakota National Guard.
A new hotel is under construction in northwest Bismarck. Roughrider Hospitalities will own the 98-room Hampton Inn and Suites. Partners in the project say the hotel fills a need in that part of the city.
"The city is growing tremendously and there`s visitors coming in and out. This will be the first hotel as you come east across the river from Mandan so we do think there`s a need and we think this is a very good brand, a Hilton brand hotel in the northwest side of BIsmarck. We think it will fit that need," said partner Jim Poolman.
The hotel is expected to open in July or August.
And the long-awaited opening for a new bar in downtown Bismarck is just days away. J.L. Beers will open on Thursday. We`ll show you more about what they have to offer as Jim Christiansen takes us inside, on Inside Business on the Evening Report tomorrow night.
