Killdeer Man Dies in Plane Crash

A pilot from Killdeer is dead after he crashed a twin engine airplane this morning near San Marcos, Texas. Clarence Schollmeyer, 66, was the only person on board the plane when it went down this morning at about 6:00.

He was taking the plane on a test flight and was on his way back to the airport when it went down in foggy weather. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
