Early Education Center is Opening | Video

Chris Williams | 10/31/2012

A new early education center in Williston is giving young kids the opportunity to learn through technology. The Corcoran school is for infants all the way up to five-year-olds, and they had their grand opening earlier this evening.

The school has a structured curriculum that varies by age. It`s set up to introduce students to a little bit of everything.

Kids spend time in the classroom, the music room, the library, and in the art room. The school also has a computer lab, where students can be involved in a number of different programs to prepare them for the next step.

“We believe that having a structured curriculum and introducing them to a lot of technology, introducing them to a lot of the same things they`d have in the elementary school will make them more ready for elementary school, as well as, better prepared for the future in general,” said school president TJ Corcoran.

The part of the building that will house the infants to three-year-olds is still under construction, but should be done sometime before Christmas.

The school is taking new students from infants to five year olds. If you are interested in signing your child up you can visit corcoranschool.com, or call the school’s principal, Katie Castel, at 855-432-7593.
