The former president wasn`t the only familiar face in North Dakota tonight. Desperate Housewives star James Denton was in Mandan to encourage voters to get to the polls.

He says he met gubernatorial candidate Ryan Taylor a couple years ago and was inspired by his message and wanted to help out.

"It`s always tricky as an actor showing up to campaign because in reality what does it matter what actors think and I don`t for one minute believe it does. But what matters is if I could bring Desperate Housewives fans to an event for somebody like Ryan that I believe in and then they can hear him out and make the decision for themselves."

This is Denton`s second trip to North Dakota to support the campaign.
