The place to be for a fun and educational Halloween celebration on Satrday was at the High Prairie Arts and Science Complex. Parents and kids of all ages were encouraged to come dressed in their halloween costumes and participate in various themed activities.

Gateway to Science had a "Spooktacular Science" room full of experiments and demonstrations. The Theo Art School put together a "Be-witching Art" exhibit and the Shade Tree Players acted out a comedy called "Horror High." Not only was this a fun family day but it was a way for kids to realize learning can be fun!

"It`s a way to incorporate thesedifferent groups together. We`re doing arts, we`re doing science. It`s something that we hope everyone has arts and science in their life and this is a way to do it in a really fun aspect for your kids specifically for Halloween," said Gateway to Science Program Coordinator Meredith Traeholt.

All the proceeds from the event will benefit future programming for children and families at Frances Leach High Prairie Arts and Science Complex.
