We`ve all noticed the rapid growth in communities around the state, and state leaders are taking all the advice they can get on how to deal with it. Leaders from Gillette, Wyoming; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Lincoln, Nebraska, gave advice on how they dealt with the rapid growth in their communities years ago.

Members of the Bismarck city commission were in attendance and say they learned several skills to help plan affectively for the growth.

"The most important idea is that through change and rapid change. The most important thing that must be in place is that we`re communicating and that we`re listening to what people need," said Commissioner Mike Seminary.

Today was the final day of the summit. Those in attendance sat in on sessions about addressing safety concerns, school challenges and how to create more recreational infrastructure.
