More than 100 years ago, First Lutheran Church Cemetery in Minot was in the middle of nowhere. But, with growth throughout the city, it now sits on the edge of Minot State University’s campus, which may seem a bit odd.

MSU`s History Club is educating the community this weekend about the prominent Minot pioneers who helped establish the city.

"I didn`t really know what to think about it until I started working in it. And, I think if we start spreading the word and that`s why we do things like this so people can understand why it`s here and kind of feel a little more at ease with it,” said MSU History Club Secretary Misty Neumiller.

Tours of the cemetery will be held tomorrow from noon to 4:00 p.m.
