Possible Hit and Run | Video

The Ward County Sheriff`s Department is investigating a possible hit and run case. At around 8:00 this morning, police responded to the intersection of 19th Avenue Northwest and the North 83 Bypass.

Robert Anderson, 62, was found lying in the road. Witnesses said he had been running on the side walk near the road only minutes before he was found injured.

No vehicles were found in the area, but because of his injuries, officials believed he was struck by a vehicle that had left the scene. Anderson was transported to Trinity Medical Center, where he is still being treated.

Anyone with information about the vehicle that left the scene is asked to contact police.
