I-94 Construction in Bismarck Starts Next Week

Crews will begin work on Interstate 94 in Bismarck early next week. Starting Monday, October 22, crews will be patching asphalt on the highway.

According to the North Dakota Department of Transportation, work on the eastbound roadway will be from US Highway 83/State Street (Exit 159) off-ramp to the Bismarck Expressway/Centennial Road (Exit 161) off-ramp. Work on the westbound roadway will be performed from the Bismarck Expressway/Centennial Road (Exit 161) on-ramp to the Tyler Parkway (Exit 157) on-ramp.

During construction:
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Speeds will be reduced to 40 mph through the lane closure area

The project is expected to be finished in late October.
