Synthetic Drug Problems | VideoValley News Live | 10/17/2012
Today, the Grand Forks County sheriff says he`ll take the fight against synthetic drugs to the legislature in January. Sherrif Bob Rost says the state doesn`t have any laws to stop the manufacture and use of synthetic drugs, despite the deaths of two young men in Grand Forks this year.
So far, ten people have been charged.
"But really there`s no laws in the State of North Dakota that cover the use of these synthetic drugs and that`s why we`re going to the legislature coming upů to get some laws," Rost said.
Rost says there are some federal laws but it doesn`t really give local authorities any power to stop the manufacture and use of synthetic drugs.
