Arrests on Pizza Hut Robbery | Video

The Minot Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a robbery that took place two weeks ago. At about 8:50 yesterday morning, Minot Police Department responded to a burglary at the Pizza Hut which lead them to a residence in Burlington where a search was conducted.

Upon the search, officers found drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm and evidence of the burglary and robbery that occurred at the same Pizza Hut two weeks ago.

Officers arrested Burlington residents, Douglas Gerard, 29 and David Gay, 37 on multiple accounts. Once arrests were made, the officers were able to make a connection between the suspects in robbery and the victim.

One of the men arrested, was the employee who contacted police about the incidents.

"We were able to to determine that an employee of Pizza Hut had actually participated in both the robbery and the burglary and had actually identified himself as being the victim of the original robbery," says Detective, Cassidy Halseth.

Both Gerard and Gay were charged with several accounts including possession of drug paraphernalia, property theft and possession of a stolen firearm. Gerard was also charged with being a felon on possession of a firearm.

Both men are being held in the Ward County Jail.
