Minot Police Make Robbery Arrests

The Minot Police Department has arrested two men in connection with a robbery that took place two weeks ago and an attempted burglary yesterday morning at a north Minot business. Police have arrested Douglas Gerard, 29, and David Gay, 37, both from Burlington, in connection with robbing the North Broadway Pizza Hut on September 30, among other charges.

On Monday morning, police were again called to the business to check out an attempted burglary. During their investigation, police were led to a Burlington residence where they found drug paraphernalia, a stolen firearm, and evidence of the burglary and earlier robbery.

Police say that the employee who acted as the victim was one of the suspects.

The men were charged with Possession of Drug paraphernalia, Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Burglary, Conspiracy to commit Theft of Property, Theft of Property, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Gerard was also charged with being a Felon on Possession of a Firearm. Both men are being held in the Ward County Jail.
