Minot Police Issue 16 Underage Drinking Citations at House Party | Video

Rene Thibault | 10/15/2012

Early Sunday morning, Minot Police Officers responded to a residence on 35th Avenue Southeast for the report of a loud party. When Minot PD arrived at the scene, they were initially not allowed into the residence.

Officers checked the property and found numerous alcohol containers across the back lawn and through home’s windows. Police officers told the homeowners they were requesting a search warrant, but were finally allowed into the residence.

Police issued citations for False Report to Law Enforcement, Disorderly Conduct for a loud party and 16 citations for Underage Drinking.

While it’s not a new problem for the city, underage drinking is becoming a more frequent one.

“We`ve always had these problems here, we probably have more of it now, not because it`s something new, but because we have more people in the area. So we still have a certain percentage of the population that is going to partake in this type of activity,” said Patrol Sergeant Larry Haug.

No official arrests were made during the incident
