Contest Winner Rides to School in Fire Truck | Video

Eden Schlinger has gone to school hundreds of times in her life. But this morning`s ride is one she`ll never forget. Eden won the fourth grade division of the annual Bismarck Fire Department`s poster contest. Students are challenged to come up with posters depicting fire safety.

The fourth grade division was about finding two ways out of a home in case of a fire.

"I tried to do my best work. I took a lot of days and I put a lot of effort into it. It made me really happy when my mom got a call and said that I won," Eden said.

Her class swept the division. The awards for second and third place posters went to her classmates.

Winners in other grades will receive rides to school tomorrow and Thursday.
