Bismarck High School celebrated a century of academic accreditation today. AdvancED recognized the school for maintaining high standards in order to stay accredited for an entire century during the annual education improvement conference in Mandan.

The conference welcomed administrators from all over the state. Director Angie Koppang says 100 years of accreditation is quite an accomplishment for any school.

"We are really excited. One hundred years of continuous accreditation means that in 1912, these schools made a commitment to quality standards, meeting those standards and have have maintained that for 100 continuous years. That`s pretty amazing."

Other high schools recognized for 100 years of accreditation were Williston, Larimore and Lisbon.
