Halloween is almost here and members of the Fort Lincoln Foundation were out setting up the annual Haunted Fort attraction. The event is one of Bismarck-Mandan`s scariest attractions.

Workers have been busy setting up since early September and are looking forward to when the haunted fort reopens.

"It`s a great event kind of a nice kick-off to the halloween season. Fort Abraham Lincoln really has the atmosphere that it helps haunted fort with the ghosts and Custers demise and things like that. He left this fort here, it was the last fort before going to the battle of bighorn," said Haunted Fort Creative Director Matt Schanandore.

The attraction opens on October 11. All the proceeds from the event are used to support the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation`s preservation efforts.
