UND Sets Enrollment Record

| 9/19/2012

The University of North Dakota announced that, according to their official fourth week count, they have the highest enrollment in their history. The headcount puts UND at 15,250 students, a 3.8 percent jump from last year.

The school says that this is the first time they`ve passed the 15,000 student mark.

"UND continues to be a great value to students and their families, as the University leverages state appropriations with other revenues to help build a better North Dakota through the North Dakota University System," said UND President Robert O. Kelley.

The school claims their high enrollment comes from a surge in new freshmen and transfer students. The number of freshmen is up by 13 percent, transfer students are up by seven percent.
