Schatz Helps Donate Food | Video

One in six children living in Ward County is considered impoverish, but many of these families were able to receive some help Tuesday in Minot.

Boxes of food and essentials were handed out to families in need as a part of the Feed the Children of North Dakota program. Sprint car racer, Donny Schatz is a Minot native and teamed with Feed The Children to deliver a truckload of these donations to Community Action Partnership in Mino

”Fom young families to seniors that have the need because food prices are high, housing is high, gas is high, so there`s quite a gap going on right now in Minot and so having an event like this is tremendous,” said Willy Soderholm, executive director of Community Action.

The distribution is in recognition of Schataz`s top ten finish in this year`s prelude to the Dream race. And it`s one of ten truckloads of food that Feed The Children is sending around the country on behalf of the top ten finishers.
