Dance Team Holds Fundraiser | Video

Michelle San Miguel | 9/15/2012

It may not be the first thing that comes to mind when people think of exercise but Zumba classes have become quite popular in Bismarck. The dance team at St. Mary`s Central High School held its own Zumba class Saturday morning to raise money for the dance team.

About 50 people came out to support the team. The money raised at the zumbathon helps the Saintiques pay for new costumes and dance accessories.

"I love that I get to express myself and I don`t know it just makes me feel good," said Sydnee Vacura, co-captain of the Saintiques.

"I`ve done it since I was little so it`s a natural thing for me," said Meghan Huber, co-captain of the Saintiques.

The Zumbathon raised about $500 for the dance team.
