"Looking for Packers stuff. I got a pillow," said Kim Trzecinski. "Now I`m looking for a Packers purse."
Now in its 39th year, the Downtowners` Street Fair has grown so much that some vendors had to be put on a waiting list.
"The really great thing about this year is we`ve filled up really fast and so now it`s almost becoming like a race to get in which is great," said Dawn Kopp, executive director of the Downtown Business Association of Bismarck.
From a big bag of kettle corn to a taco in a bag, just about everyone has their favorite meals.
"I came up for the food. I just ate a gyro. I ate everything but the tin," said Kathryn Paul. "Next off will be a turkey leg and top that off with a piece of corn on the cob."
"I hear they got good Indian tacos here and trying to run into some friends. Hoping I can make it to work today," Trzecinski said. "Hoping. I work at four so Susan if I don`t make it, you know where I`m at."
The fair draws in vendors from more than a dozen states, from California to Florida. But organizers say the fair also helps boost sales for downtown business owners.
Kopp said, "We`ve seen so much growth in the restaurant business, in retail, nightlife. It`s been just a fantastic expanding of downtown."
"I`s just fun to see people excited to be out on such a beautiful day," Paul said.
People enjoyed a warm day to cap off the final full weekend of the summer.
