The individual whose name appears on this notification has been convicted of a crime against a child or an attempted crime against a child, or has pleaded guilty to a sexual offense. In accordance with North Dakota State Law this individual must register as a sexual offender or an offender against children.

The offender is not wanted by the police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is not intended to increase fear in the community.

Information Narrative: Mr. Shjerve is a moderate risk offender due to two convictions of Gross Sexual Imposition out of Pierce County District Court. The first conviction was July 8, 1983 and the second conviction was September 16, 1987. Both times the victim was the same person. The victim was 8 years on the first incident and 13 years old on the second incident. There isn`t any information regarding the first incident as to what happened but on the second incident Mr. Shjerve had sexual intercourse with the victim. He recently moved to the area.
