Historical Flag In Minot | VideoJenny Castro | 9/6/2012
Thursday afternoon, the Minot Fire Department and local law enforcement assisted in the unfolding of the National 9/11 Flag at Minot State University. The flag flew over the World Trade Center at Ground Zero. It has been stitched by survivors of the Ft. Hood Texas shooting, by the family of Martin Luther King, and before Minot, tornado survivors in Joplin, Missouri.
"I get choked up at this, threads were donated to us from the original star spangled banner and if you look at the red patch with the white in the middle with the three red threads, they`re from the original star spangled banner that flew at Fort McHenry that inspired our national anthem, that`s what we`ve brought to you guys because like I said we`re all in this together, thank you for having us,Ē said Jeff Parness, the founder of the New York Says Thank You Foundation.
