Corps Extends Comment Period for Missouri River Surplus Water Reports

| 9/6/2012

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has announced that they will be extending the public comment period for their Missouri River Surplus Water Reports into October. According to the Corps, the extension is in response to requests from the public during meetings held in August. The new deadline is October 10.

"We heard many comments from people who wanted more time to go through these documents, prepare thorough responses and present information they would like us to consider in our development of the final reports," said Project Manager Larry Janis. "The public input aspect of these reports is key, and we want to allow everyone enough time to make their concerns heard."

Copies of the reports can be viewed online.
