Shooting Near Poplar, Montana

A Roosevelt County deputy and a Fort Peck tribal officer were involved in a shooting yesterday near Poplar, Montana. Police say they were called to the scene of a fire. That`s when they say Robert Belton shot at the officers.

No one was shot, but Belton and a deputy suffered minor injuries.

Belton is in the Roosevelt County Jail on several charges, including Assault on a Police Officer.
