City Offices Closed Labor Day | Video

While city offices will be closed on Monday to observe the Labor Day holiday, for emergency personnel, like Police, Fire, Airport and the Water Treatment Plant, it’s just another day of work.

"We never fully get the day off because there could be a situation where we`re called in and we hope that never happens, but that`s why we`re in the positions we are,” said Minot International Airport Director Andy Solsvig. “We`re always available though if needed, so we rely on our staffs heavily to make sure the operation continues smoothly."

The city reminds residents there will be no garbage pick-up on Monday. All city departments will open on Tuesday for regular business hours.
