Medcenter One is Now Sanford | Video

For 33 years you`ve known it as Medcenter One, but as of today, it`s known as Sanford Medical Center. Hospital employees unveiled the new name this morning. Over the next ten years, Sanford Health will be investing $200 million in health care services in Bismarck-Mandan and western North Dakota.

Dr. Craig Lambrecht, president of Sanford Bismarck, said the merger with Sanford gives the hospital access to capital which it needs to expand, buy technology and provide competitive wages.

"We are gonna deliver care in western North Dakota that we could not have delivered without the position that we`re gonna be in."

Dr. Lambrecht says patients can expect to see healthcare services quickly develop in western North Dakota.

Medcenter One and Sanford Health merged on July 2.
