Progress Being Made on Southwest ND Fires

Firefighters are making good progress on three wildfires that are burning in the southwest corner of the state. The Deep Creek 12 fire, near Amidon, is now completely under control.

The Deep Creek 2 fire near Marmarth is now 50 percent contained. It`s burned about 4,500 acres. Officials say it will be fully contained tomorrow.

The Sail Fire, now estimated at 363 acres, is about 50 percent contained. Cooler temperatures and favorable winds are helping firefighters get control of them.
