She Votes 2012 Bus Tour in Bismarck | Video

Jessica Roose | 8/16/2012

The general election is less than three months away and one organization of women isn`t wasting any time trying to rally women to get to the polls. The Concerned Women of America 2012 bus tour kicked off nearly two weeks ago and has already made stops in over 20 cities.

Today it made it`s way to our capitol and was met by several state leaders and conservatives running for office. The group has one main goal: getting women to the polls, any way they can.

"You`ve got to remember that our founding fathers and mothers died for your ability to vote. You`ve got to remember that a little less than a hundred years ago the suffragists were jailed and in some cases they were tortured for the right to vote. It was not a cake walk. That was a hard fought battle," said CWA President Penny Nance.

The tour will continue this afternoon with stops in Minot and Grand Forks. Tomorrow they will finish up in Fargo.
