St. Alexius and Ashley Medical Center Sign Management Agreement

St. Alexius Medical Center announced today that they will enter into a management agreement with Ashley Medical Center. The agreement will allow St. Alexius to assist Ashley Medical Center with physician recruitment, human resources, as well as provide visiting specialists.

While the two facilities will be pooling resources, they say it is not a merger or acquisition.

"Ashley Medical Center will remain in full control and governance. With the added resources and leadership of St. Alexius Medical Center we will continue to provide high quality patient care to the people we serve," said Ashley Medical Center Administrator Jerry Lepp.

"We have had a long relationship of support to Ashley Medical Center and the patients they serve. Our new agreement will only build on that relationship as we prepare for a healthcare landscape that continues to change," said St. Alexius President and CEO Gary Miller.
