Arrest Made in Lone Steer Motel Fire

Authorities have arrested a man they say is responsible for setting fire to the Lone Steer Motel in Steele over the weekend. This afternoon, police arrested Alan Thomas, 50, at the Motel 6 in Bismarck. Thomas is being booked at the McLean County Jail in Washburn.

Officers from Steele, Kidder County, Bismarck and the North Dakota Crime Bureau assisted in the arrest. Steele Police chief Dave Feland says Thomas is being charged with arson and could face additional counts of endangering by fire.
