J.R. Havens | 8/13/2012

Dickinson State University can now say one of their former athletes is now a gold medalist. Ramon Miller anchored the winning leg for the Bahamas in the 4x400 relay in a national record time of 2:56.72. Until Friday, the U.S. had won every 4x400 relay since 1984.

Miller`s college track coach Pete Stanton said he`s been in contact with Miller after the race and it`s done wonders for him and his college alma mater.

Miller and the rest of his relay team will be honored tonight in the Bahamas. Friday`s winning time was also a national record for the island nation.
