Dickinson Police Searching for Wanted Man

| 8/10/2012

Dickinson police are searching for a wanted man. Adolfo Lepe, Sr. has an active Stark County warrant for his arrest for Domestic Assault.

Around 12:30, Mountain Time, this afternoon, police responded to a tip regarding his location. Officers located Lepe in the Maverick`s Saloon parking lot. When officers pulled behind Lepe`s vehicle, he exited the parking lot and began fleeing on 3rd Ave. W. Officers followed, but discontinued because speeds exceeded safe pursuit limits.

Lepe`s vehicle was found later near the Spur Bar. He was last seen on foot in the alley behind the Spur bar.

Dickinson Police, the Stark County Sheriff`s Office and North Dakota Highway Patrol, established a perimeter
and began searching the neighborhoods by foot. During this time, evidence of a weapon was located in the
pickup.

In the interest of public safety, the police issued a Reverse 911 call to area residents informing them of the situation and advising them to secure their homes.

As of 2:30 p.m., Mountain Time, Lepe still remains at large. He is a Hispanic male, 5`6" tall, has long black hair with a pony tail. He is balding and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue pants, and a black baseball cap.

Upon further interviewing and investigation, the department believes the threat of Lepe possessing a
weapon is diminished. However, we would encourage the public to remain vigilant and to report any sightings
of Lepe to the Dickinson PD at 701-456-7759. You may remain anonymous.
