Chemistry Camp | Video

Kristin Clouston | 8/9/2012

Most camps don`t encourage kids to play with fire, but this week a camp in Bismarck let them try it under close adult supervision. At Gateway to Science Chemistry camp, new fourth, fifth and sixth graders learned about matter, its properties, and chemical reactions. They also conducted experiments to learn how and why chemistry works.

"It was really fun. We did a lot of cool experiments and yeah it was just really interesting and I learned a lot of stuff about atoms and all that good stuff," said camper Kate Weigum.

They also used the periodic table of the elements to play chemistry bingo and winners walked away with some frozen treats.
