Seniors will soon have a new housing option in southeast Mandan. Lakewood Landing will provide senior housing, personal care and health care services, a la carte options for independent living, and customized advanced care for assisted living and memory care.

Employees will also host activities designed to enhance residents` lives and wellbeing.

"They can start to feel very isolated so this is to provide them an environment with a sense of community, a sense of belonging, a peer group where they get the support they need where they get a lifestyle that they want, and where their healthcare is supported over time," said Lakewood Landing CEO Susan Bala.

Construction of the 77 unit retirement community is expected to be finished in the spring.
