Bismarck Insurance Agent Has License Revoked

| 8/1/2012

The North Dakota Insurance Commission has revoked the license of a Bismarck agent. Agent Brent Kitzan has been barred from selling, soliciting or negotiating insurance in North Dakota.

Kitzan was arrested in July and charged with 14 counts of felony theft of property, eight counts of felony insurance fraud and five counts of felony fraudulent securities practices.

"Mr. Kitzan`s breach of his clients` trust brought on today`s action," said Insurance Commissioner Adam Hamm. "Revoking his license guarantees he can do no further harm."

A cease and desist order was filed against Kitzan in December.
