Bannister Sentenced to Life Without Parole

The man who pleaded guilty last month to shooting and killing a Bismarck police officer will serve the rest of his life in prison without parole. Steven Bannister was sentenced today to life in prison without parole for the death of Bismarck Police Sergeant Steven Kenner.

Kenner was killed while responding to a domestic disturbance a little over a year ago. He is the first Bismarck police officer to be killed in the line of duty.
