Screen Printing Business to Open in Mandan | Video

Joel Porter | 7/17/2012

A new screen printing and gift shop plans to open later this summer in Mandan. City commissioners have approved a lease agreement for Destiny Screen Printing and Embroidery.

The owners, who are from Arizona, will set up at 116 East Main Street in the Marcovitz building. Scott Johnson is renovating the space. The business also plans to sell souvenirs to North Dakota tourists.

"Ultimately, it`s going to help us in our property taxes and offset those property taxes. So the new business coming to town is exciting for us," Mayor Arlyn Van Beek said.

Commissioners agreed to give $4,500 in funding to Destiny Screen Printing. The store has plans to open on September 1.
