Search Continues for Missing Hiker

| 7/17/2012

Several agencies continue to look for a missing hiker in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Dan Olszewski, 48, went for a hike in the park on Sunday morning and was reported missing by his employer on Monday. He hasn`t been seen since. His vehicle was parked at the South Unit Boundary.

Authorities say he`s in good shape and is an experienced hiker.

A search party of about 20 people on foot and horseback are covering off trail areas in the South Unit west of the Little Missouri River in the Theodore Roosevelt wilderness area. There is also a search dog team from south dakota helping in the effort.

Monday and Tuesday the Highway Patrol and Minot Air Force Base used planes and a helicopter to help in the search.
