Heat Causes Power Outage

| 7/16/2012

Warm temperatures caused some Bismarck residents to lose power today. According to Montana-Dakota Utilities, two transformers, one in north central Bismarck and the other on the southwest part of the city, overheated, causing a disruption in power.

A MDU representative said that the warm weather didn`t give the transformers the chance to cool off. It is also possible that they were older units.

The units have been repaired.
