Malfunctioning Sensor, No Leak

Crews from Minot Air Force Base responded to a possible hazardous leak at a missile launch site near Parshall Monday morning. The Air Force says maintenance crews noticed a sensor indicating some sort of leak at about 10:00.

However, it now says there was no leak, the launch facility`s sensors incorrectly detected a potential chemical hazard.

A hazmat crew and a fire crew were both sent to investigate. As a precaution, they set up a 600 foot restrictive zone and the Highway Patrol closed off Highway 37 south of Parshall.
